This is a really fabulous antique gypsy set ring. Likely dating to the end of the Victorian era/start of the Edwardian era, this 18ct Gold ring is a showstopper!

The wonderful central old mine cut diamond which is fimly set in a rhombus shaped frame, catches the light in the way only old mine cuts can do. 

This ring has a thick polished shank which tapers towards the back and which is hallmarked for 18ct Gold and Chester,  Unfortunately the date mark is indistinguishable. At its largest point, the face measures approximately 7.5mm and it tapers down to 3mm around the back. It weighs a heavy 4.76g and is currently a UK size K (USA Size 5 1/4).

This stunning piece of history remains in wonderful condition, and it has been cleaned and is ready to wear!
